I think what fps you need/want depends on if you have a 120 hz monitor or not. Personally i'm shooting for 60 minimum as my monitor has a 60 hz refresh rate.

right now i think even with price drops 7870 is amd's best performing gpu for the money. Once it's dropped to 300ish price point it's for sure best, atleast imo. I'm just leaning nvidia atm. They're suposed to up graphics settings...

I've been green basically forever. Tried the 7870 and had issues. It was really fast, it ate wow on ultra everything except for the random crash, which if I was doing competive pvp or herioc raiding and it crashed I would not be happy...
