Now it just seems really strage to me the same of the cores would throttle down under 100% load. ive turned off those 2 settings.

i have it oc'd to 3.6 by just raising multiplier and for somereason it will drop down too 1800mhz according to cpuz

ive taken it apart and cleaned it thoroughly trust me im not that big of a noob

yes the fan is at 100% manually set. but even if it was at 30% i wouldnt think the card would overheat that hard at idle

okay so the card idles at like 60c when i throw it on kombustor its ramps up to 100c in like 3-5 seconds and then a black screen comes up and i have to shut off the PC happend in my PC and happend in my buddys PC the stock volts on that...

yeah its stock everything now this only happens with 100% load if that makes sense edit: in fact i even lowered the volts a bit to see if the problem would stop but didnt work

yeah its the evga 1gb 460gtx the fan speeds are fine and the paste i put on is good im just curious if cards just randomly freak out and start overheating for no reason
