If your after a quietnpc, and by posting in this section I guess you do, think about a different case. The 300 is poor for noise. Push to the solo 2. Will be much quieter

Another vote for the r3. Spend as much as your dad can afford on the case. It tends to be the bit you upgrade the least often. If he can stretch them go for the p280. One to avoid is the lian li ao5fn. It's terrible!
