They are 4 pins and the fan controller is 3 pin. Not sure why that'd matter because the other two identical fans spin at 1200.
Different channels. I moved the fan cable to another channel -- one that spins the other fans at 1200 -- and still this one only spinned at 630. So it's probably the fan or the cable?
I have a FT02 case hooked up to a Scythe Kaze Master fan controller. It has three 180mm fans (AP-181s). One of the 180mm fans spins at a max 690RPM. The other two 1200RPM. Why is one fan refusing to spin faster?
The RAM is 2133 speed. In the BIOS, it says it's rated at 1333 MHz Is there something wrong? I have a P9X79 WS motherboard and 3930K. The RAM is G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL11Q-32GBZLD
What do you mean white slot?
If I stick a PCIe x1 Firewire card into the second slot of a PCIe channel (with the first populated with a GTS 8800 graphics card), will I see a large performance drop? The board is an Asus P9X79 WS
how about question #3?
I am purchasing a SilverStone Fortress Series FT02, a Scythe Kaze Master Pro, and an ASUS P9X79 WS motherboard How do I hook up the fan controller to this board? 1. My motherboard has: 1 x CPU Fan connector(s) (4 -pin) 4 x Chassis Fan connector(s) (4 -pin) 1 x Optional Fan connector(s) (4 -pin) What are these for, and will I be using them if I have a fan controller? 2. My case has 3 x 180mm fans and 1 x 120 mm fan. The other fan in my system will be a Noctua...
Asus lists no qualified x8GB sticks for the P9X79 Deluxe. Why? I'm looking at these sticks. How do I know they will be compatible? G.SKILL lists them as so, but not ASUS. G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL10Q-32GBZL Is 1866MHz a good balance between price, speed and latency? I'm nervous buying this RAM without seeing a single system verified working with the P9X79 Deluxe.
