On a side note OP, you could potentially donate that computer to another user on OCN if you're planning on tossing it away. Maybe just have another user pay applicable S&H fees.

Here's my room, and Windows 8 will not let it rotate any other orientation. I tried resaving it and uploading it.
To be honest OP, I would recommend waiting until the Nvidia 7xx and AMD 8xxx series get released. I think you'd be better of waiting until then (unless money issues regarding power consumption) to see what the new hardware is going to...
I would say a GTX 690/7990 as they're 'single' card solutions, both while having dual GPU's embedded. But in the same notion, you won't have less power being drawn from either of those cards.
This was my first 'custom' PC. I had an E6400 with an HD4830!
Do you have a spare PSU that you may use to try and rule out that piece of hardware?
