Nope. Randomly happens. One in every 15 boots maybe?

Only setting I changed was the ram setting. Turned it's XMP on as without it runs at the wrong speed. Both PCs on their very first boot turned on, off then on again.

It's sometimes booting into BIOS now so must be the auto settings. Any kind the default values? All I have is auto.

I don't have any other ram. I bought 4 sticks of 4GB stuff, two for each rig and both rigs do it randomly. I haven't used my computer in 4 days as I was waiting for a monitor replacement and it did it again today.

Having spoken to the store I bought it from (and all the components for the two rigs) they agreed to replace it as a goodwill gesture. After no monitor for four days I am happy to say this one is 100%. It was a dead subpixel.

RMA done, new board installed and problem has gone. Seems it was my board. Having a look on the back of the old board IO can see the troubling pins. One of them has what seems to be extra solder over it so maybe a manufacturing defect...
