Take a look at the A57. Seems like Sony cut some corners to keep the price down on the A58. IIRC, the A58 has the better viewfinder but the A57 has the better screen and higher FPS.

Few things to note about the A57, it has In body image stabilization so any lens you use will be stabilized. Where with a canon or nikon you have to buy the more expensive lenses that have built in stabilization. The Sony will also AF...
