Great but a little eh...big and heavy. My friend recently bought that one though, and it has exceptional performance for the price.

Toshiba L305. It has an Intel Pentium T3200 with 3-4 Gigs of Ram. I think they're at officemax for $550. Try it out, its better than the other choices mentioned below

is the T3200 a fairly fast CPU? Also it only has 1MB L2 Cache, I think half of it is disabled.
