Just as a FYI: I can stream 1080p on my 3570k, i have no problems streaming at that resolution. I stream Starcraft 2. I'd imagine WoW would be fine. You might have to stream BF3 at 720p on the 3570k though, maybe.
It really depends how you classify "dead". An old P4 would still be fine as a little web server for example. With that being said socket 1136 CPUs are still powerhouses and they have been 'dead' for years. It's only a matter of time...
It's important to keep in mind that an AV is really only as good as its definition list. By that i mean that they can only stop what they know about. sure, most have a heuristics scanner, but at the end of the day an AV is just a list...
