If Sony was really smart ...and they've been really smart as of late, they'd take 500-1000 consoles and a 500-1000 copies of CoD and Madden 25 and gift them to US bases overseas. ...it's called using the old foot-in-the-door technique.

I believe "Xbox One" was in prediction to the sales numbers.

I've been looking to next summer's Intel's Broadwell, DDR4 and GPU die shrinks to upgrade for ~3 years now, but with Broadwell and DDR4 looking late, I may just go back to consoles [...and work on an obscenely large backlog of PC games]...

One more reason I still use a stupid-phone.

My PC is 3-4 year old tech and I plan an upgrade next year-ish regardless. A good part of the bump in next-gen console graphics is catch up. I might even argue that in addition to the learning curve, it is PCs that may hold back...

Here I've been sitting for a few years set on Broadwell for everything since it was die-shrinks all around timed together, both mobile CPU and mobile GPU along with DDR4 and everything looked like it would converge so nicely.
