Oh, they're already building it? Asking advice a little late then aren't you? lol Alternative proposal. If they're going to foot the bill for a $1600 rig, why not use that $1600 on everything excluding the GPU and build a badass rig? If...
RAM: I just ordered 2 of the 4GB Samsung sticks. Haven't seen a single bad review, they don't even heat up when OC'd. From what I've been told anyway. GPU: Wait for a 680! I'm giving it at least until May. I have an old 5750 laying...

Seeing as how IB i5 is just barely an upgrade over SB i5, do you think it wise for me to get an SB-E 3820? Or maybe even an IB 3770K It's capable of more than enough overclocking for someone like me, who isn't a big time overclocker. It...

This is what I'll be getting here with an exception of the processor. I'm grabbing a 3570K in a week when they're released. CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K ($220 @ Newegg) Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ($143 @ Newegg) Memory: Samsung 8GB...
All of these temperature figures for the 3770K/3570K are they with the OE HSF? I am looking to jump into a 3570K and eventually try my hand at OC'ing. Nothing extreme, maybe 4.5/4.6 GHZ. Is that unrealistic with an H100 or RASA 240 kit?
What about heat? I'm going to pull the trigger on a set of these Samsung modules tonight or tomorrow, but they're so small can a heatsink be attached if needed? Or do they run cool even when OC'd?
Woohoo, SeaSonic X750 Gold on NewEgg for $120 shipped. Sweet deal. First piece ordered.
That's what I wonder. I probably won't be overclocking my memory, so do I need OC friendly memory? I'm sure there is something that performs better at stock settings than this memory. No?
