The HCP is the better model, as mentioned, pretty much the best 1200W you can get today. The SR-2 is indeed the TPQ 1200 rebranded. Between the two, I'd get the HCP.

A single HD5850 will draw a max of 100W on its own. (8'ish amps)

I think you can turn the LED off. And yeah, they aren't of the AX/HX caliber, but they're destined for the gamers in love with tacky LEDs, cathodes and other bling.
