Interesting, well I bought mine back in feb/2010 so I don't know if that would qualify as old or new but regardless it seems that my cpu isn't going to cut it. Should I try to just lower the OC to around 4-4.1ghz and try to stay within...
LLC is on. Awesome posted earlier in this thread he was able to achieve 4.2 with the same cpu and motherboard with much lower voltages but when I prime with them so low I get 124 BSOD's and or worker failures. Not sure if my chip is...
I've upped the vcore to 1.48v and the vtt is @ 1.38v. I was able to complete 2 full passes in P95 blend before I got a error 124 bsod and I was able to game much longer before I got the error 116 restart. My temps on load are low to...
at 4.2Ghz on an i7 860 is it alright for my vcore to be at 1.48-1.5 as long as my temps are staying in the mid to low 70's on load? Also I am getting the 124 code bsod after about 2 full rounds of P95 blend testing, is this directly...
I'm currently running blend tests on P95 since it stresses not only the CPU but the ram as well. Temps are up to mid 70's which is fine but man does my 860 chip take a lot of voltage... currently up to 1.4875 for vcore. Do you think if...

Yea this build is about a month old and I've finally got into the overclocking. At stock speeds the problem no longer occurs.

Yea it's currently passing intelburntest at the settings I have it too and I have the latest release bios which was december/january? Something like that. I'm gonna memtest my ram now while I sleep, not sure what else I can do but wait...
So I just got done overclocking my pc (Sig Rig at the bottom of my post) to 4.2ghz and the wierdest thing started happening. Everything else appears to be stable and fine except when I play games the screen will go black and the comp...
