ok well we decided to cut from xp pro to xp home (after reading an informative little article: http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...p_home_pro.asp ) and bump the psu. Hes decided to get this one... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341001 Seems like a better pick to me. Almost the same as the one I got two years ago. Thanks for your help guys!
Im debating whether or not to slack on the powersupply. I know when I upgraded mine two years ago it made a huge difference, but then again I was overclocking. So heres what I have come up with so far... Mobo - GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775 Intel P965 Express http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128012 CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115004 RAM - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2...
edit - wow totally wrong thread sorry
You need to add the ip addresses of your network in the network or maybe hosts something. I don't use zonealarm anymore, so I can't remember the exact place.
p2p is when you have very small numbers of computers talking. If you wanted to share data between only two computers, then why use client/server?
Any good IT department in a business monitors everything going in and out of their network including everything each client does on the network. If you think you can hide from it your uneducated or your network staff sucks. To the op, I would tell your IT, they *should* be able to fix it.
What kind of server?
With zonealarm you need to add the hosts you are trying to connect to (ip addresses), or you wont be able to connect to them. This can get annoying if you have computers in your network assigned ip address with a DHCP, since when the ips expire, the ips you have listed on zonealarm might not match the computeranymore.
Tell your brother to turn down his UPLOAD speed to about 10kb/s. This is assuming you have cable internet... At least thats how I fixed my problem
I got an email from comcast the other week saying I downloaded some movie, and they would cut my internet if I kept downloading similar files.... I guess Azuerus is why... >.<
