I guess EA didn't think this will be the outcome of their P2W strategy. This didn't just backfire. it is like sending out a boomerang and it coming back with a nuke strapped to it. The whole ordeal is now going to make a tsunami in the industry.
Well apple have been consistently claiming that they do not collect nor spy on the users. What you share under your account is under your account, like the find my phone etc on iCloud, but not being actively followed on by apple. What you share with apps, that is your problem.
This will happen here as well.EA will bring back their micro-transactions and people who bought the game, will be more than happy to pay. Consumer memory is a short memory, without an expansion slot.
That really depends on the organisation and their suppliers.Where I work, they buy intel based machines because basically, that is what they get offered from the local suppliers. Including HP themselves. But also because a facility many times wants to keep everything similar, if they have 5 intel based hosting servers, the next 2 they will want with similar spec so they can be compatible with each other, as well as when ordering new parts like memory etc, they will not want...
This is seriously a next gen stuff. PCIE 4.0. 8 memory channels. 4 threads per core (this is not even their top 8 threads per core chip), not including the tensor cores of the volta, or GPU to GPU direct links, etc. Seems like to gain the top pflop isn't going to take as much space as it used to. For AI and research, this is going to be amazing. This on its own could be skynet
In WoW there was never a time that you had to spend money in order to roll a slot lever to get an item, like loot boxes are.Spending time doing a dungeon, raid, kill some NPC or whatever consistency to get something was there to keep people playing, not to get their money. In WoW you pay for a service, and everyone are equal in luck.If you insist on comparing WoW to a casino, it is like paying 15$ an entry, and play on whatever card/slot game you want, but you don't pay any...
They should have gone back into larger wafers. A few years ago they started working on making 450mm viable, and just stopped mid way because a lot of push back from tooling manufacturers and not wanting to be the first to convert a facility. I think at some point they will have to. Shrinking is getting harder, silicon is apparently going to cost more. They can't just jack up the prices indefinitely. I think larger wafers are the only chance to really reduce prices, or...
TBH I don't feel like the grind in the current state of WoW is required.Unless you are in some high end guild, there is no requirement to grind anything. You don't need to work for gold as gold is very easy to come by, you don't need to work to get flasks as unless you are planning into progression, you don't need any, etc etc.You can just come online to talk to friends, and sit in a hub without any reason to go anywhere. In classic I always felt that the grind was a must....
When people ask and there is a market for it, what is your problem about it?You ruined your own life by making a video game a priority over your kids. The original progress time was there in order to slow people down, since blizzard needed time to make and release their raids and dungeons. If people like today, could reach max level and clear all dungeons within a month or so, people will just reduce their subscription to when something new comes out, and leave a month...
While it is an option, what if every game had micro-transactions with gaming impact? You want to kill a boss, join arena, join a match, even single player campaign, well wait 10 hours between attempts or between levels, or buy a bypass. And if you didn't buy it, you can't play with the friends who have.Consider that. Every single game can become like that.So what will you do? Boycott every game? Stop gaming at all?Because that is where the industry goes to.We are in the...
