I hate Windows 8 so bad I can't get rid of it fast enough. It's staying on the laptop and the desktop is going back to 7. What absolute garbage. I shouldn't have to take 10 steps to do one thing.

Just an update, I was able to do this per Microsoft's instructions. Everything activated fine. Now, for Windows 8, there are many unnecessary steps to doing the same things I used to.

Mods, I respectfully ask that this thread be closed. damric, this was an issue on OCN in the past. My request has nothing to do with you, but rather the direction this is headed.
