a 4.5ghz IVY matches a 4.8ghz SB that tells you the diffference is not much really. better IMC and pci-e 3.0 for ivy though
my 3570k was the same thing btw. out of the box it sucked. even with an H100i I couldn't go over 4.5ghz and temps would hit 90 degrees and above. after delidding though it was a different story

every chip is different. my 3570k can OC to 4.2ghz at stock votlage on the contrary the gtx 560 Ti I picked up for my brother couldn't even OC for peanuts didn't matter what gpu voltage I set it to. just luck of the draw man sometimes...
