No eddie, thats NOT why i killed it.. it was working for 2 weeks like that idiot, didnt have any problems. i killed it becuase my vf-900 fan died in the middle of a game and i didnt notice it - thus killing the core

no no no buddy you have bridged two SMD's that were never supposed to be. It would have died sooner than later irrespective of your cooling
