Hard Drive Tray - 9 tall

The foil strip you see on the side in between the thumbscrews is anti-vibration material - like dynamat. I didn't bother to clean up this side because of all the times I have to insert and remove hard drives. Its just a pain to keep everything "neat and tidy" every time you make a modification.

4x300GB IDE seagates in JBOD/Spanned, 4x250GB eSATA external (Silicon Image Port Multiplier), 4x500GB Seagates (used to be raid 5, no longer in RAID5 because of issues with the ICH9 raid driver), 1x500GB external and 1x 74GB Raptor (system).

Its about 4.5 TB total after the space lost due to the MB/MiB conversion. I have about 500-600 GB free. I am a pack rat, and keep everything on my computer. Home movies, film projects, every CD i own (which is a lot), gigs upon gigs of scanned photo albums from the past, photograpy projects, etc.
