Well if you use 2 brands, pick the one you use/favor more. There are always gonna be people that use more than 1 brand.

Intel, but if I were to build a new computer RIGHT NOW I would put one of those new Phenoms in it.

I am all mobile last was AMD current Intel. Both work fine. I still have my AMD and works fine a good CPU. But Intel does offer at least mobile greater performance and less heat. I would buy either depending on cost and needs.

I wish someone would explain to me what the AMD advantages are? Is it only price? I am really asking as I don't know.

AMD and Intel.

My first owned PC was an Intel Celeron. Didn't like that one that much but that was way back before the powerful stuff I have now.

AMD was my first build and a single core, I don't use that much now. My second build which is the sig rig is Intel C2D and currently my favorite. My future build will be AMD and the one after that Intel and I will keep on with that pattern for as long I keep building.
