AMD all the way for my all my PC's and all but 1 notebook.

However, in other devices, not really sure.

I use an Intel, only ever used one AMD in my lifetime, it was an Athlon x2 4200+ @ 2.7GHz. I hated it

I use AMD. I haven't found anything decently faster than my K8 to upgrade to.

I use AMD (sig rig is a 955BE and family pc is a 6000+), the build for my daughter is a PIV 3.0 w/ hyperthreading, the build for my son is a PIV 2.4, and my laptop is an Intel T9500. I haven't even seen a Cyrix in over 10 years, last one was a Packard Bell a Navy buddy of mine had and I don't even remember it's specs.

I prefer AMD atm since you get more overall bang for your buck, the i7 975 is $1000-$1100 and the Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition (jeez that's a mouthful) is $245-$265.
