Default Please use this Forum for CPU discussions only !

Hello Members of Overclock.Net

Please remember this Forum is for General CPU discussion only as stated below from the Forum description.

Quote:
Use this forum for discussion involving both Intel and AMD, or for discussions about VIA or other smaller CPU makers
Please DO NOT post about anything else other than CPU's

For example, A Question about AMD chipsets should belong in the ''AMD Motherboards'' section as its pertaining to the motherboard hardware and NOT the CPU. The same can be said for a similar Intel scenario.

This section is discussing about the CPU only. and example of an acceptable topic would be the comparison Of CPU's from different manufacturers such as AMD,INTEL and VIA and how they compare against eachother Etc.

Such questions regarding AMD or Intel system builds should be placed in the Intel or AMD General section. If however the question is pertaining to '' What CPU for XYZ Build '' then thats acceptable.

Before posting please ask yourself...

'' Does my thread specifically regard a General CPU question/discussion or should it go in the other more specific sections such as Intel General/AMD General as its CPU manufaturer specific?''

If in doubt please PM a Forum Moderator and we will be happy to point you in the right direction.

**Update**. Any thread created not relevant to the above shall now be deleted without warning.

Thanks.

What a mess, people need to post common AMD and Intel build logs in the appropriate section!

Guys, please follow this. The forum have just had a title change to better reflect what our intentions with this forum was - a little hint, it wasn't for build logs

Unless this forum is placed in between AMD an Intel, it will continue to receive threads that do not belong here too frequently. I mean, placing it in between AMD and Intel should minimize the amount of incorrectly placed threads into this forum.

It's about time my repeated suggestion gets noticed. I'm not even going to bother counting, but I know I've suggested this over half a dozen times now in this forum.

I'll try to ask the managers if this is possible.

Doh, I guess I could have asked Chipp myself. I remember now that when this forum was created, he was very interested in what everyone thought. We all convinced him very quickly to move it above both AMD and Intel instead of below it. But I'm pretty certain that if it's in between, then it could help significantly - especially for those who are scrolling down to find the most appropriate forum.
