That is because they are not thick. This stuff is VERY thick. You only twist it side to side about 3 times (left, right, left).

Hmm... do you think side to side twists are best or would it be better not to do this? On the IC Diamond website it doesn't say anything about twisting, good or bad.

Personally, if you have a HDT cooler like mine, twisting is a good think, if you got something that has a flat bottome like the megahelam, then do not twist (well you can but not much). Al twisting does is help spread the IC7 up into the cracks on a HDT cooler.

Ah good to know. I'm getting a Baram today so I won't twist.

On the Innovation Cooling official guide (http://www.innovationcooling.com/app...structions.htm) it says at the bottom:

I would say a light spread then clean it off. Good luck doing that as it does not spread very well.

"Wetting refers to Contact Resistance or how well a paste fills the micro voids and scratches. With a rough sand finish it may be necessary to manually (with a finger or equivalent ) rub a small dab of compound in the contact area to fill the small voids and scratches and push the air out to improve the thermal contact resistance. Andrew I. Lemont" Cool so I'll do that with some plastic on my finger. I'll just put a tiny bit on.

I think the glove is to avoid the oils from your finger mixing with the compound.
