Default New PC for under $1,300

Okay guys I need some help. I'm getting to build my own PC for graduation and my budget is $1,300, although around the 1,000 mark would be better. Here is the setup I'm considering getting from Newegg. I want the PC to handle any game I throw at and have a good price/performance ratio. So please tell me if this looks like a good rig or if it needs tweaking. Thanks in advance.

Nice build overall but.. being a AMD person Id go with this instead and with the extra savings Id go with this ram and hit 2000Mhz+.

But none the less nice build

The price drop sounds nice and I had considered building one around the Phenom II 955. The only thing that worries me is how they will compare in performance. How much will the performance differ between an I7 and the Phenom II?
