Default Overclock an Over the Counter Gateway

Ok, I messed up. Before I understood alot about pcs, I bought an over the counter gateway. It is a GT5662. I have only added a new Nvidia 9800gt gpu and some POS sound blaster sound card. If you want to see all the specs for my pc just google gateway 5662gt. My BIG question is, IS there any way to access the cpu through the bios on this dang thing. I am stuck at 1800 Mz because of some power saver feature and I got an Athon 4core. I want more speed GRRRRRRRRRRRR. But Gateway has removed the cpu controls in the bios. PLEASE HELP.

You could try to use software to Overclock.

more then likely your going to be locked out of the bios where you would need access to overclock the MHz. As said above software would be you best bet. As far as the powersaver, is it downclocking the CPU speed if inactive? if so which OS are you running?

I am running windows 7 64 bit. Got it for free from my school. It seems all the software I try is not supported. What about hacking the bios? Would that be a bad idea?
