Default Second Core not being recognized

For some reason my computer isn't recognizing my second core on my processor after I install an operating system.

I have a MSI P965 Neo motherboard
Intel Pentium D 3.4 ghz processor 775 chipset
Running Windows Vista Ultimate

Have tried using the msconfig select processors trick, but that only gives me the option of selecting 1.

Unable to find an option in the BIOS that would allow me to activate the second core

Any help would be appreciated

Only thing I can think is BIOS flash if there is newer version or maybe chip isn't fully supported by this board. I doubt it is a problem with Vista but I am not a genius.

Before installing the chip I went to the motherboard website and checked to make sure it was compatible as flashing the bios with the newest update so I don't think that would be it

Did that. Now 2 processors show up in device manager, but it seems to be only using one (at least when I look in performance there's only 1 graph)

Should be an option in task manager to view both cores, under views.

It's using that option which is why I think my second core is still not being used despite showing 2 processors in device manager
