Just seeing what are peoples opinions on this build.
__________________I need- -case -power supply - motherboard - cpu - ram - dvd drive - hard drive - graphics card - monitor Im hoping to be able to fit at least a 5850 and a 22" monitor into this budget. Not sure if thats possible or not.. I may try to buy some parts used as well. I plan on just gaming with this computer. Nothing really too CPU intensive, and whatever CPU I end up with will sure be a heck of a lot faster than what I got now (dont look at sig, its gross.) Show me what you come up with

HD5850 - $280
Phenom II 720 BE - $119.99 ASUS M4A78T-E - $129.99 Antec True Power New 750W - $104.99 Scythe Mugen 2 CPU cooler - $34.99 Viewsonic 22" monitor - $160 250GB Western Digital Blue - $44.99 LG DVD Burner - $27.99 G.Skill 4GB 1600MHz - $85.99 All that comes to just shy of $1000... but as you can see, there's no case. If you get a really, really, really cheap case, and get the Phenom II X2 550 BE instead, you can do it, though.

I'd say Go i5, or PII X4.
Case? Get the LanCool K62. 5850, ... Hmm.

That would add up to $1500, crc, I have all those parts listed in my wish list
![]() Would you be willing to go LGA 1156? Do you focus more on gaming than CPU-intensive apps? If so: CPU - i5 750 GPU - 5850/5870 PSU - Corsair 750TX Mobo - Gigabyte's GA-P55 or ASUS P7P55D series. RAM - OCZ 2 x 2GB HDD - WD Caviar Black 500GB or 640GB, depends Optical Drive - does not matter, go with Samsung's SH-223 line or Lite-on. Monitor - ASUS VH line Case - Lian Li PC-K62, Antec 300/900, or Cooler Master HAF 932/922, whatever fits your budget and space needs.

Do you plan on using multiple GPU's or is a single card solution okay?
