Default CPU+Mobo+Ram
Looking for the best cpu, ram, mobo combo I can get for around $500. Mobo must be able to use crossfire on the mobo. Doesn't matter if it's intel or amd.

Options?

This is my pick, except DO NOT buy the 965 now. In a few days they will release a 125W TDP one, that overclocks much better with a great IMC.

you could go i7 for that if you have a microcenter nearby...

otherwise, take the above posters advice, but get a Crosshair III Formula

I agree with the Crosshair III/Newer 965 combo. Damn I wish I lived near a microcenter...
