Okay, so lately, I've been addicted to Aion. I've been playing it almost 24/7. I have it on Max settings, 8x AA on a 19 inch monitor. I left it on before I went to school today to sell some items. When I came home from school, I noticed the computer was off. I turned it back on, and everything ran fine, up until I tried to get into Aion again. When I got to the character selection screen, it just turned off on me. I started up the computer again, and when I got to the Aion login screen, it turned off there. I tried to turn it back on again, and it crashed a little bit after BIOS. During the week I noticed the GPU was blowing out a lot of hot air, so I turned on alll the fans in my rig. Now, I noticed there is almost nothing blowing out. I tried turning the fans to 90% on EVGA Precision, and i still don't really feel any air coming out. I took off my overclock on my e8400, checked the temps on the CPU and it was around 34 idle. Is it the GPU?

Install GPU-Z or another VGA monitoring tool to check the actual temp of the card, and see if it's too hot (not familiar with that particular card, but I'd imagine that over 70C at idle is too hot... see what the temps do when you're stressing it, and then you'll really be able to tell).
Does the back of the case, and/or the card feel really hot, despite there not being any air blown out from the fans? It is possible a fan or a sensor has blown, which might be an easier (& cheaper!) fix than replacing the entire card. gluck!

It idles around 50C. I just looked at the keyboard when the computer crashed, and noticed the keyboard's num lock light was still on. I just rememebred that this morning before i went to school, it was storming. Is it possible a power surge happeend and it messed up my motherboard? Now when I turned on the computer, it says my Ethernet cable is not plugged in, but it is. This has happened to an old dell computer of mines before. Is it the motherboard causing all these crashes?

Do you get a BSOD or the system just shuts off? Computer just shutting off normally indicates cpu hitting or going beyond TJMax or PSU issue
