Hey guys,
I built my new rig over the summer and i'm really happy with it. Since I've been using a crappy 17 inch monitor, I decided to bring it to the living room to use on my 60 inch rear projection tv. However, to get the computer to display anything on the tv I had to turn off and on the computer like 2 or 3 times every time I wanted to use it. Now I have decided to bring it back into my room. When I hooked up old monitor back up, it had the same problems as my tv. It wouldn't display anything without a few reboots. I had this problem with vista, but I recently upgrated my comp to windows 7 with no effect Here are my specs: Antec 1200 Cosair 800w MSI Gtx285 OC Asus P6t deluxe v2 mobo Intel i7 920 @ 3.6 6gb ram Coolerbaster v8 Thanks a ton for any help This is a great site

How do you manage your screen resolution? Through the windows screen resolution page or with the nVidia control pannel? If you dont already have the nVidia software installed, go ahead and download it. You can set what type of monitor you have and what resolution with it and hopefully your computer will boot your settings on the first try every time.

Drop the clocks to stock, and use both monitors I think that one is a secondary when it should be a primary.

Hey Guys,
I've tried everything and nothing works. If I boot my comp up and I turn it off before windows 7 loads, it will not recognize the monitor. However, if I wait until I hear the chime that signifies windows has loaded and turn it off, the monitor will work. Another thing is that after i've gotten the monitor to work and I restart the comp, it will still work, but if I wait for an hour or so, and try again, i'm back where I started. Any help??? Thx a lot |
