Budget: $1500-$2000
I'm planning on switching back to Nvidia and running 2 cards in SLI. I have 2 HD 4890, but not happy with crossfire. I have a few games that won't run in crossfire mode. I've always had an AMD cpu, this time I went to Intel, not sure if I should go back to AMD or get an i7 CPU. Will also need a new motherboard, and possibly ram. I want to go with a BFG card. Was thinking maybe BFG Tech GeForce GTX260 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI-E or should I spend a bit more and get BFG Tech GeForce GTX 285 1GB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI-E? I know you can run physx on one, but what about if you had 3 cards? There's another one that's pretty much the same, but like $16 cheaper, but I don't know what the difference is. Not sure if the ram I have now is good enough, or if I should get better ram. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also need 6 sata ports.

go back to amd, get the DFI 790FXB M2RSH, buckledown and save up for the gtx 285, with a 64 bit OS so u can utilize 8 gigs of ram, and atleast a tri core or quad with a good rep for overclocking. like the deneb 940. a nice power supply, some decent cooling and ull have a nasty rig, and it can be done with that budget

Looks like that board has crossfire, which is what I'm getting away from.

260's would be a downgrade. i7 would be the way to go if you have money and also sli can now be done on any mobo with 2 pcie slots. Its a little tricky but can be done. If you really want an upgrade get a 5870. Uses less power than 2 cards and is an amazing card. I would like to know the games that don't use crossfire the only one I can think of would be GTA4 and that's because multi-gpu actually decreases frame rates.
Sorry but I'm a little confused.

Why oh why are you buying GTX200 series video cards at this point in time
__________________ They are overpriced and just not worth it. If you're an Nvidia fan boy, wait a little for Fermi to come out. If not, get some crossfire 5770s with an i7 rig.
