If you need a monitor included in the $400-500 range, a Dell would probably be your best bet. You can often find good prices for basic computing needs there.

I've got a system for sale, if you're interested. $450 for PC+monitor+mouse+keyboard If you don't need the keyboard or mouse, I can cut both out for you if you need to. Hehe, a bit of shameless self-promotion
