what would be a good combo, CPU/mobo, AMD or Intel, Must be SLI. (Game Rig)
lookin to spend 300-400 bucks.

Considering the budget go AMD for CPU the lower end Phenom or even Athlon quads are great P/P ratio.

Doesn't he only want CPU+Mobo. That's enough to get some better stuff than AMD

Intel with an ASUS motherboard is always a winner and that is what i suggest.
