Default Budget Build Challenge

I would like to see what you guys can do on an $800 dollar budget.

Requirements:
$800
Windows 7 Home Premium
Meant to game

Thanks to all who take the challenge. This is for a friend of mine. I just wanted to get the opinions of fellow OCN members.

now-a-days 1gb of Gmem is good for the next 2-3 years

I'd get a 4890 1gb for your gpu

Ok not enough info. What all is required? IE: do you need a mouse and keyboard and monitor and speakers?

Im assuming no but we all know what that gets us.

Secondly what resolution are we expecting to run?

no keyboard, screen, or speakers. sorry that was a bit lacking on info.. but good question. I dont know for sure the screen size. I would say probably 1440x900 and no bigger than 1680x1050. I know thats a fairly big difference but I think you get my drift. There are no real boundaries here. Just post something within the price range that you think will provide the best performance/quality ratio.

This is the best I can do unless you want an lga 775 build. You might want to see if you can get some stuff used if the extra $35 is really too much.
