Default help with HDD interface

Hello all,
I am currently in the process of moving my OS to a second set of hard drives from the current RAID.

I have installed the new hard drives into the case, and they seem to have been detected, but I cannot find them in my computer folder in order to move data to them, nor are they listed in the drives which windows asks me to install to. Is there something I am missing to add these new drives to the list?

This is the area of computers where my knowledge is absolutely zero, so please respond in detail.

Thank you for your help in advance.

I am assuming you are using windows so

Start > Run, enter compmgmt.msc and press OK. The Computer Management console will now open.

on the left hand side .. look for disk management and click on it.

You will need to initialize and or format the drives for use.
