OCZ Freeze, Arctic Silver 5 are my two favorites.

To the person that said MX-2... my Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro came with MX-2 applied, i ran that for a few weeks, changed to AS5, got a 4C drop on full load.

Well how about this question then, if he were to go out and get his own thermal paste, what's a good brand to get?
There's a loaded question!

Just save your pennies and use what comes with the HS unless you're going "ball's-out" overclock.

Even in the best of circumstances there's probably a max of 5C difference.

PS...I just wanted to add....I bought some of this yesterday....You can go as far as you want with TIM but a coupla degrees better is all you're gonna get.

Only @ 4c difference (except for one straggler) on the 'rough' chart and 1.1C difference in the top 5.

Keep what comes with your HS unless there's something special you need to do.

Thanks guys for all help. I know I should get other thermal paste and heatsink than stock, I know there are differencies between them, but now I'm happy with that I have money to upgrade my PC. Maybe I'll get a Megahalems for my CPU, it doesn't cost a lot of money.

That's a great choice, especially according to this Guide here: http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling...ered-here.html

I am looking to getting one too.

regardless of the processor, OCZ freeze is my weapon of choice. does an excellent job, and still has a low price of around $6.

I like to use an aftermarket thermal pad, rather than a paste. With a pad you don’t have to measure anything. No need to worry about too much or too little.
