Default RAM operating speeds?

How do I know if my RAM is operating at 1066mhz like the package states?

Is there a software program I can get that will plainly display the clock of my memory?

I have CPU-Z and Overdrive and neither give me very good ENGLISH answers.

Here's what the program shows me. Mind you I'm using 4 gigs of corsair and 4 gigs of OCZ but both show the same thing...

Your DRAM Frequency should say 533, that would mean its running at 1066. Here, I believe you're running 4 sticks of 1066? AMD CPU will only allow 2 sticks of 1066, and also use match memory sticks only. Do not mix Corsair with OCZ rams.

I would have but Newegg doesn't always replenish it's stock once it runs out of a certain brand. Corsair was the next best thing to it.

So how fast is it running then? 800?

Yes, it is running at 800Mhz.

If you want to run 1066, you will need to take two sticks out and leave the 2 1066Mhz RAM in. But you may also have to set the timings as well. Good luck!

Well what if the DRAM was operating at 400 before the other two were added in? How would I go about bumping it up to 1066?
