Default Internal USB ports

I'm curious, how many of you have USB ports inside your computer? It's not that hard to get them. If you do have internal USB ports, what do you use them for? What would you want to use internal USB ports for? Should a USB port be built onto future motherboards as standard (could make wireing the front pannel all the easier with less fried flash drives and headphones)?

I, for one, would love to have internal USB ports (my USB card, which I will replace with a USB bracket in the near future, comes with one, but it makes one of the ports on the outside part of the card useless). If you know me, I hate wires, and internal USB ports could be used to mount various wireless recievers and my bluetooth reciever to free up the back ports and have all the fewer wires getting tangled up behind my computer (seriously, how the heck do the cables get tangled? I DON'T move them after I plug them in!!!)

I can see many more uses for internal USB ports then my own reasons. There can also be some downsides, but other then visual clutter for you with cases with side windows, I can't think of any.

I have 2 internal usb ports. I removed the usb ports in the front and put them inside because modded the front of the case to accomodate two 120 cm fans

I wont put my wireless inside the casing lol there will be low signal. My room is farthest from our router.

But with a bracket you could sit an external disk safely

I meant wireless recievers for keyboards and stuff. I intend to get a wireless card for a network.

What do you use the ports for, or are they just there?

But wouldn't it be nice if it became a new standard? One or two internal USB ports, plug in your front pannel, plug in some other device (such as this tiny Bluetooth dongle)... maybe I'm just into my war against wires. XD

It would be cool to see someone mod a USB DAC to fit in one of the CD-ROM slots, and plug it into the internal USB.

There are relatively few things that internal USB ports are useful for... perhaps internal flash drive, or bluetooth dongle, but beyond that, what?

Some fan controllers and bay-devices have USB interface. Additionally one can mod a thumb-drive for Ready-boot with Vista.
