Default The computers of 2010 will blow your mind!

http://www.forbes.com/asap/2000/0821/087.html

Hey, you gotta give them credit. They got some stuff right! Mainly the hard drive. Went a little overboard on memory though

However, I am surprised that we aren't seeing computers running fully on fiber optics these days.

They predicted screens will be liquid crystal. Pretty much dead-on on our 24inch LCD monitors.

Quote:
Size does matter in our 2010 computer screen. It will either be very large, literally the desk top of your desktop, or very small, a monocle you hold up to your eye. For the bigger version, our computer screen will depend on some kind of photonically excited liquid crystal, with power requirements significantly lower than today's monitors. Colors will be vivid and images precise (think plasma displays). In fact, today's concept of "resolution" will be largely obsolete. Get ready for pay-per-view Webcasts.

I blame the canadians.
http://probablybadnews.com/2009/11/0...r-flashlights/

You think they are just walking in the dark. With some sort of strange logical adaptation to having less hours of sunlight due to their location on the hemisphere. But really. Really they are out there playing Crysis.
