Hello, I'm a noob in ocing but I read a tutorial about this and how to do it. Now .. Some of my applications are sometimes hanging and its really annoying also in this tutorial it says that i have to put up my memory voltage and if that doesnt work my chipset voltage and finally my core voltage. So I raised my memory voltage with 0.05 but I want to check my temperature of my memory else it may get broke. So my question is: Where can I get software to check out the temperature of my memory? And I know there are some things out there like that therm laser but I really can't afford that at the moment. I googled the whole internet for this but found nothing
Thanks in advance, reLoad! ![]() |

As far as im aware only the newer chips have temp sensors. And i dont even think they have
i read so much stuff nowadays i cant remember. But im almost certain there isnta sensor on ram chips

Well thats really ****ed up, sorry about my language in here. But how to do it then if you cant check the temp of your mem? I mean it would be very dangerous to overclock your volt then imo.. So how are you checking your memory temperature then if you are overclocking?

you dont, you only ever apply about .1v more than the manufacturers say to memory anyway (if its not BH5)
just loosed the timings and that will show if its your mem thats the problem

So you're saying that you never check the temperature of the memory? And you'r saying that its always possible to + .1v more then the manufacturers say?
and what about that last line? I aint english so its sometimes a bit hard to translate these lines into dutch ![]() Ty in advance, reLoad |

Needs more ding-dong

That really depends, stock speed - yes - overclocking, no.

Well lets say it this way .. how much can I overclock the voltage of my memory when I got a Boxed Amd athlon 4000+, Geforce 6800GS, 1 gb ram and I got the standard cooling, the one I got at boxed. Im running at 2.66 ghz instead of 2.4 now @ 222 MHz (was 200) and a memory voltage of 2.70 (was 2.65) how much can I overclock the memory voltage?
