Hey guys. First of all I'd like to say this site is really great; the community seems very friendly. Anyway, I just got a new xfx 7900gs (model number PVT71PUQF3) and I was really excited to OC it. I'm generally familliar with OC'ing and I follow directions well, so I decided it was time to do my first hard mod- I mean hey, the numbers you can get with a 7900gs/gt are soo worth the effort. Anyway, I'm all set to mod, iron in hand, then I realize my layout is different than the ones in the guides!

My system: AMD 3500+ @ 2450, Thermaltake Blue orb II cooling MSI K8n neo4 platinum (damn you 230 bug!!) XFX 7900GS PVT71PUQF3 @ 622/1600 (great for stock voltage, but I want more! ) Zaleman ZF700 coolingCorsair 1gig dual channel value select <---weak link ![]() Just relized this should probably be in the vga specific subforum- if a mod wants to move it there for me that would be great, thanks.

So no luck? I'm assuming either one hasn't been worked out yet or there just isn't one... I'd be happy to post pictures of the card if anyone wants to try and work a mod out for me, but maybe I should just accept the OC I already have.

One think you can do is look on your card, front and back. Look for two 14 pin chips that are identical model number. Do a google search on that model number and see if you get any info concerning vmodding. If not, You can use a multimeter and start guess and checking all the resistors around those two chips to see which one connects to the chips 4th pin to ground and has the same resistance.

well, I'm not all that well versed in electronics, and I'm currently finishing up my senior year at college, so I doubt I will have the time to do this any time soon... I was kinda hoping someone knew of a guide somewhere or had one themselves.
