Question 8800 GTX Possible "soft" voltmod...

Has anybody every tried or even heard of using NiBiTor and a subsequent bios flash in order to up an 8800's voltage without an actual "hard" mod? I know its possible with some older generation nvidia cards...

Nvidia stopped doing that. As was ATI supposed to...

No. You can't. Not through the BIOS anymore. Gotta nab a pencil if you're lucky, or, if you're not, learn to solder.

That is, if it's even possible for that card, which I'm sure it somehow is.

not sure if its possible with an 8800GTX, but with my card, I use to use Rabit to modify my bios of my X1900GT. Rabit allows u to modify stuff in ure card's bios including the voltages.

just so you know, your sig is in violation of the TOS.

You are allowed a sig that is no more than 8 lines long.

If you go to 'User CP' at the top of the page and enter your system specs in there, then they will show up in every one of your posts, but free up the space for you to have a different sig
