Default 8800 GTS vmod

know of any vmods for gts 640? not gtx, either soft or hard v mod for memory or gpu, and whats all this about flashing the video bios? is it safe? how much of an increase can you get? and bios modding, how do you do it and is that safe?

I wouldn't try it unless you really know what your doing, and some cards don't seem to last as long with a volt mod also it voids any warranty.

These cards already run pretty hot, so I don't think increasing the voltage is gonna help without water cooling. Bios mods simply change the default frequency. Ati are the only cards I know of that can change the voltage without a mod.

i know all bout temps and warranties and all that, what i need to know is how to do it. im getting a hr 03 plus soon so i dont need to worry about it, plus with my max oc right now im capped at 631/1030 10min atitool w/o artifacts

631 seems pretty low, you should be able to hit 650 without issues? Is this the new one or just 640's don't OC as well?
