can someone please show me what a variable resistor looks like? i want to volt mod my card, and they say i should tune down the vr, and solder a leg to a point on the card and then to a grounded point (any suggestions on this) - how do i tune down the resistance on a vr?

![]() Google is your friend ![]() You turn the knob pointing to the left to either turn down or turn up the resistance.

Yeah, those type are BIG though. I'd recommend getting the small blue rectangular ones they sell at radioshack..

The one that is huge probably goes between something like 0-5v. That is WAY too much for your graphics card, make sure that the one you install will have it's max range inside of what is safe for your core or memory.
