I don't know anything about multimeter's but I really like this one, its got a large LCD with a light blue back light (I like blue lights), and more lights that shoot out the end of the leads so you can see in the dark, It got a auto range, I think with some you have to set it manually? and its got some chick who talks to you. Sounds like the computer voice off star trek. from a noobs point of view it seems nice.

Don't say you can't if you're uneducated about it. Go measure resistance with a multimeter while your rig is on instead of voltage and tell me what happens.

In the instruction manual it says not to do that.

....Exactly.

You: Can I set my multimeter wrong so that can mess anything up?
poor: No.

He was wrong. That's why I quoted him.

Well If your multimeter is decent it WILL NOT damage anything

LIke mine

Its isolated from the source and the only thing that happens is you get an odd reading

Yesterday when I was trying to figure it out, I did measure the resistance of a AA battery, I don't think I damaged it, it just gave a reading of "OL", in the manual it says it's got a "circuit to protect the resistance range from over-voltage"

Unfortunately I think the only thing she is good for, is reading numbers.
But its kind of cool, if you can't see the lcd, you just press a button on the side of the stick and she says the voltage.
