If I did a vdroop mod on a p5b deluxe with a 2B pencil, would there be any undesired effects?
__________________My current voltages: BIOS: 1.45 Idle: 1.44 Load: 1.408 I've read in many places people experiencing a change of only 0.008V after the Vdroop mod. It seems almost too good to be true. Is there something I'm missing?

Just know that you'll be drawing extra power (wattage) to your CPU when you do the mod.

You shaded a hair too much, I'd lightly touch your finger to the resistor and see what that does (may take some of it off, increasing the droop). I'd then re-shade it again, slowly, until you get to a point that you're satisfied with.
