I have no trouble getting 1.62v out of mine stock. Why would you need any more than even 1.5 volts though? Most CPU's can't really use more than that anyway.

Well considering that is a Manchester core CPU, you're not going to see anything higher than what you've gotten. A volt mod isn't going to do you any good except give you more heat. Those Manchester core CPU's usually top out at around 2.6-2.7GHz stable. I'm very surprised you even got it that high. I don't think you'd be doing yourself any good by volt modding your board with that chip. Most AMD processors top out around 3.0GHz for Socket 939 anyway, so you're at your max OC speed already. Don't kill that poor board. It'd be different if your CPU could handle a higher clock, but it can't. Also...have you turned your voltage up to max (1.55v) and turned on the overvolt CPU in your BIOS? That should get you to 1.6-1.625v.

I still don't understand you. Why do you NEED to give your processor more voltage than that motherboard can give out? That processor is not capable of going much if any higher than you already have it. It's a Manchester core and those are notorious for stopping around 2.6-2.7GHz. You have it PAST 2.9GHz. In my signature, yeah I have my Manchester at 2.94GHz.....but it sure as heck wasn't stable. It ran at that speed for oh....around long enough to open CPUz and save the screenshot. And that was running 1.625v through it. It was EXACTLY the same at 1.45v....I tested it to see how low I could go and get the same 2.94GHz. There's absolutely NO reason you need more voltage than that board can give you. If you want to know how much voltage you're giving your CPU....open up a copy of CPUz. It tells you what your voltage is pretty accurately (I haven't had any issues yet). There's no reason to risk damaging a perfectly great motherboard just because you heard somewhere that more voltage is better. More voltage is not better.....more voltage=more heat. More heat=lessened life span on motherboard and CPU. Now less voltage=a happy overclock! So my advice would be to overclock as high as you can get it stabily with the lowest voltage you can get through it....while maintaining below 65*C under load. That will make for a great overclock.

With that being said....great job getting that Manchester as high as you did. Just keep those temps under control, just so long as its stable, that's a great OC.

Just use software like CPUz...it is so much easier, and just as reliable. I am not going to say it again. IMO its a very BAD idea to try to do what you're wanting to do. Just use software to measure your volts.
