Mootsfox,

Ive seen Jameco before but exactly as you said, it's hard to navigate without a part number.

Do you happen to know the name of the R70 chokes or the different ratings on it? If you could even go as far as to find a link for me it would be greatly apreciated

all I really know about it comes from this picture:

Its a choke, it will work in place of the old chokes and it says R70 on it. I dont know the "official" name, I just know it as R70

Me too, and most of the forum as well.

But doing something like this is a step beyond 99% of us hah...

If you look at any modern cpu socket you will see the chokes around it.
What they do is they filter the electricity going into the cpu so that it doesnt fluctuate and the cpu gets a nice clean steady power supply which helps in overclocking

Is the real full number for them? I just can't find any information on it.

As a resistor R70 seems to have a value of 43.2 kΩ.

thats the problem, I dont know the full name for them. all I know is that they are chokes, they say R70 on top of them and they are larger than my current chokes and will therefore provide cleaner power and a greater overclock
