Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has anyidea how i can geta beter over clock,
if you can see my attachments you can see my board will not break a 273 FSB which is pitaful.. ive had the cpu voltage up to 1.39 and its making no difference, what can i use to get it any higher? what setting needs tunning, my ram is at 1:1 ratio, so its not an issue, something on this baord needs changin and i havnt a clue, can anyone help?

If you want to bring up the FSB, assuming the board is the limiting factor, you're going to have to up the northbridge voltage. You could RMA it though, it's supposed to be able to do 1333 fsb, which is 333 mhz host. Now that I think about it though, it is more likely that the problem is your CPU, because I highly doubt the board would be unstable at stock settings (stock with a 8400 for example). The FSB of your chip is already 35% over stock, that's nothing to shake a stick at.

The problem is the CPU, not the board. Try upping the CPU FSB voltage a bit if you want, but I doubt you'll be able to push that little chip much further than it is already.

You may need to increase the FSB voltage (or possibly even the MCP or SPP voltage).

Also, make sure you've flashed your BIOS to the latest version (link).

Well i stress tested my pc for 4 hours and my machines stable, so thought id play bit of crysis, i thoguht it was weird that i got 4ghz out this cpu in my last board (aw9d) and less in this one, that was till crysis crashed and my gpu over heated, so i doone loads of testing,
and it turns out that my power supply is getin sucked dry tothe point it cant give anything more because of this board, its toasting!!!

its effectively 460w as its 70% effective ,
just think, and over clocked e5200, 780i chipset overclocked, 8800gts 640mb, 2 hardrives 7 fans 4 sticks of mem, its onlt 14 amps per rail!!!! and thiers only 2 rails......
so u think my psu could cause my over clock to be very sensitive and just freeze up on windows? and if its not got enough power could that over heat my gpu :S ???

I think that's probably your problem, your cpu uses 104 w (from here) http://extreme.outervision.com/tools.jsp#cpuoc
and I know those G80's are pretty hungry. I'd try borrowing a power supply to see.

well yesterday igot a ocz 600w power supply, tested it on my system, apart from voltages being more stable thier was no difference overclocking. It gave me a little room for overclocking my graphics card though.
