Default Potentiometer Question

I have two 10k Pots and need them to act as a single 20k pot. I understand I need to wire theme in series (or is it paralell?). But should I have one at max resistance and one with no resistance or how should I set them up?

Set to the max, in series it would be 20k Ohm, in parallel it's 5k Ohm (1/5 = 1/10 + 1/10).

In practice, it's much better to use a single pot, especially if you only have large ones.

I've dont this before. Set them to max. Connect one pin from each together. Double check the resistance on the two remaining open pins. I just simply glued them together and soldered the pins. Worked well.
